Delivering the Highest Quality Dental Care for 55 years
Welcome to Pericowest, leading the industry in the delivery of the highest quality clinical periodontal and implant care. With over 55 years of research and practice, Pericowest provides cutting edge implant and periodontal disease services and treatments. Kathleen’s office is nestled in the City of Burlington, surrounded by farm fields and foothills, providing a calm and serene place of practice that is reflected in the patient’s treatment experience.
Our goal has always been to deliver the highest possible quality of periodontal and implant care. This mandates continual study, interaction with highly respected colleagues and academicians in our field. Clinical research has frequently been an integral part of our practice as we strive to provide the most effective treatment with careful follow-up and analysis. Interacting with all disciplines in dentistry in a Study Club format has been particularly enlightening and enjoyable.
Our focus has been on meeting the total health needs of the patient. We emphasize education, smoking cessation, Diabetes protocol compliance, nutritional concerns, and general health support.
“I am passionate about treating dental disease and helping people save teeth and improve their health. Establishing relationships with my patients is one of the most rewarding aspects of my practice and I am honored to be able to play a role in my patients’ lives.
It’s hard to believe I’ve been involved in dentistry for over 40 years! I began as a dental assistant after completing a college training program. I enjoyed science and decided dentistry would be a great career, so I took additional science courses at U.C. Berkeley and graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1984. Being detail-oriented, I chose to complete an additional three years of education and specialize in Periodontics, which I love. There have been so many advances in my field of Periodontics over the past 20 years; this has been a very exciting career choice.
Usually, patients are referred to me by their general dentist, although patients may also contact my office directly to become a patient. It is refreshing to work with so many talented dentists in the Pacific Northwest. Coordinating treatment plans for patients is truly a team effort and it has been very rewarding working with many finely trained professionals in the area. Communication with a patient’s primary dentist is of paramount importance, so several hours per week I spend composing detailed letters regarding patient care.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy our beautiful Pacific Northwest environment. Whether it’s hiking, bicycling, kayaking, canoeing, or riding motorcycles, there is never a shortage of ways to enjoy free time.”
